Meet Bob Dylan's rapping grandson Pablo

Providing some competition to Tom Hanks’ rapping son Chet Haze to be the poster boy for the misguided hip-hop endeavors of children blessed with talented lineage, here comes Bob Dylan’s 15-year-old grandson, Pablo Dylan, who’s also decided to try his hand in the rap game. Although Pablo tells AllHipHop.com that he’s “mostly inspired by rappers such as Eminem,” pointing to The Eminem Show as the record that made him fall in love with hip-hop, he does take the time to acknowledge his famous grandfather’s influence: “My grandfather, I consider him the Jay-Z of his time,” the younger Dylan says, which is the ultimate compliment, adding that he “definitely has a legacy that a lot of people look up to.” Pablo’s debut mixtape 10 Minutes is now available for free download; you can check out the track “Top Of The World” below. With its typical over-reliance on Auto-Tune, it suggests that perhaps some future live performance will, in a reversal of Dylan history, find him going acoustic and the world just won’t be able to handle it.
