Megyn Kelly announced with glee on the Today show this morning that she’ll be interviewing Vladimir Putin for her new NBC newsmagazine show. “I’ll get the chance to ask him directly about these allegations of meddling and the prospect of our two countries working together and beyond,” she said, adding with a smile: “So that ought to be fun.”
Kelly’s show at her new network, Sunday Night With Megyn Kelly, is premiering this weekend; the first episode will contain the Putin sit-down. That’s almost guaranteed to give the episode a ratings boost, given the unending cycle of news linking the Trump administration with Russia. Prior to the one-on-one, Kelly is moderating at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, where Putin will be present.
