Mel Gibson will not get the chance to make you fall in love with him all over again in The Hangover 2

Mel Gibson's mission to win back the hearts and minds of the American people by playing a Bangkok tattoo artist has been derailed, as his upcoming cameo in The Hangover 2 has now been cut. Director Todd Phillips released a statement saying that he “thought Mel would have been great in the movie,” but that “this decision ultimately did not have the full support of my entire cast and crew,” perhaps because said cast and crew contains some women, black people, or possibly Jews. This would also seem to confirm suspicions that Phillips muse Zach Galifianakis was one of the most vocal dissenters, after the comic appeared on Scott Aukerman’s Comedy Death-Ray podcast this month and mentioned that he was “in a deep protest right now with a movie I'm working on, up in arms about something. But I can't get the guys to [listen]… I'm not making any leeway.” It would appear that Zach Galifianakis is now more powerful than Mel Gibson.
