Members of ‘N Sync, Backstreet Boys making a “Western zombie” movie for SyFy
Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, a.k.a. “the cute one,” has long been a fan of the horror genre, even using Kickstarter to fund his recent “sexy, scary, and gory movie with heart,” Evil Blessings. (He also played a mummy in the “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” video, so his interest has clearly been there for some time.)
Carter’s latest project takes things a step further, though. Dead Seven is described as a “Western zombie movie” and will feature not only Carter’s acting, writing, and directing talents, but also the acting chops of fellow Backstreet Boy A.J. “the one with bad hair” McLean and ‘N Sync member Joey “not Justin Timberlake” Fatone. The project, which was announced at Comic-Con last week, will be produced by the same team that produced Sharknado and will air on SyFy sometime in the not-so-distant future. Fatone and Carter play good guys, while McLean, ever the bad boy, will play a villain’s apprentice.
