Mario Kart 8 is nearly here, and so is the new Mercedes GLA SUV, a coincidence the folks at Mercedes are not ignoring. Players will be able to download a “GLA Kart” in the new Mario Kart and race it as easily as a Sugarscoot. The download is free, and while it’s only in Japan for now, a Nintendo UK spokesperson hinted at a wider release. Mercedes also released an ad for its new vehicle that features an 8-bit Mercedes speeding through World 1-1 of Super Mario Bros., followed by a bulky and creepy real-life Mario. Synergy.
