Metallica creates and headlines the first-ever Orion Festival

Nobly relieving Americans of a crippling nationwide summer music festival shortage, the good Samaritans of Metallica announced today that they’ve created and will headline the first-ever Orion Music And More Festival. The two-day music and arts event, which the band hopes will become an annual affair, will be held June 23 and 24 at Bader Field in Atlantic City, N.J. Orion will feature over 20 bands performing on multiple live stages; thus far, the lineup consists of two-night headliner Metallica, Arctic Monkeys, Avenged Sevenfold, Modest Mouse, Cage The Elephant, Gaslight Anthem, Fucked Up, Best Coast, Titus Andronicus, Hot Snakes, Lucero, Gary Clark, Jr., Roky Erickson, The Black Angels, Liturgy, and The Sword, with more acts to be announced in the coming weeks.

Tickets to Orion Music And More Festival will go on sale this Saturday, Feb. 11, at 10 a.m. EST.
