Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, and Megadeth to play "heavy-metal Coachella"

For those who feel the recently announced Coachella lineup lacks a certain note of metal, bitch, organizers of that festival have quickly thrown together The Big 4 for the following Saturday, April 23—described as a “heavy-metal Coachella” featuring performances from Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax. It’s a restaging of the popular series of European shows that the four groups played together last year, which yielded the bestselling CD/DVD box set The Big 4 Live From Sofia, Bulgaria, as well as a whole lot of unexpected envy of Bulgaria. Interestingly, The Big 4 also takes place at Indio’s Empire Polo Field, which we guess pretty much negates the need to clean up after Coachella, right? Anyway, tickets are $99 and go on sale Friday. This will be the first and only time the four bands will share a stage in the U.S., so plan accordingly.
