Looks like Brendon Small has been toiling away again in his kreative-spelling deth-metal faktory again. The co-creator of the Adult Swim series Metalocalypse announced his next project today: Brendon Small’s Galaktikon, a “high stakes intergalactic extreme rock album.”
Small, one of the musicians behind the real-life band Dethklok that performs the music for the TV show’s virtual band Dethklok, says the solo effort Galaktikon should be viewed as “an audio comic book, an over-acted chamber drama, a ridiculous premise that takes itself way too seriously all the way to the end.” Galaktikon, Small’s follow-up side project after releasing the successful Dethalbum and Dethalbum II with Dethklok, will drop in April, coinciding with the premiere of the fourth-season premiere of Metalocalypse.
