Michael Bay might actually be done playing with his Transformers
After the upcoming Transformers: The Last Knight, Michael Bay says he might actually be done playing with Autobots. But really, who knows? We’ve been here before. Bay recently acknowledged how fickle he’s been with promises to step away from the franchise in a somewhat emotional post on his website, while also saying that “this time might really be” his goodbye. “With every Transformers film, I’ve said it would be my last,” he wrote. “I see the 120 million fans around the world who see these movies, the huge theme park lines to the ride and the amazing Make- A-Wish kids who visit my sets, and it somehow keeps drawing me back. I love doing these movies. This film was especially fun to shoot. But, this time might really be it. So I’m blowing this one out.”
To that end, Bay promised that The Last Knight will have a “huge visual scope and expansive mythology” that’s unlike its predecessors. But who’s to say that won’t suck the director right back into Bumblebee’s clutches when he’s done with the “sci-fun” movie he‘s got planned.
