Michael Bay to produce Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot
Just in case you need another reboot upside the head: As reported by Deadline, Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes has been tapped by Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon to produce the upcoming resurrection of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. The new film will be the first live-action installment of the series since 1993's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (the fourth movie, 2007's TMNT, was CGI-animated, a move that most fans agree rendered the heroes insufficiently rubbery). The rights to the franchise were purchased by Nickelodeon last year for $60 million. Shia LaBeouf, take note: Toe the Bay party line, or you may find yourself on the wrong side of a latex suit.
