Better sell that Pfizer stock while you can, because Viagra futures are about to take a tumble as the artist formerly known as Michael Bolotin is about to Make America Horny Again by thrusting his thick, husky vocals deep into Netflix subscribers’ ear holes. He’s doing so with a little help from Comedy Bang! Bang!’s Scott Aukerman and The Lonely Island’s Akiva Schaffer, who will co-direct Michael Bolton’s Big Sexy Valentine’s Day Special for the streaming platform. Bolton has a longstanding, semi-ironic working relationship with The Lonely Island, who included him in their song (and music video) for “Jack Sparrow” back in 2011.
True to its title, the special “follows Grammy winner Michael Bolton as he creates a sexy variety special that serves one very important purpose: to get people in the mood to make love,” according to a press release. And to do that, he’s calling upon the sexiest people in entertainment today, including Andy Samberg, Casey Wilson, Chris Parnell, Eric Andre, Jorma Taccone, Fred Armisen, Maya Rudolph, Michael Sheen, Randall Park, and Sarah Silverman. Those hot mamas and big daddies will accompany Bolton on a series of “absurdist adventures,” centering on performances of soccer-mom sex anthems like “When A Man Loves A Woman” and “How Am I Supposed To Live Without You,” along with what’s being described as “all-new original love-making music.”
