Michael Chiklis to star in Conan O'Brien-produced pilot as No Ordinary Family remains in danger of cancellation

Cuddly minotaur Michael Chiklis has agreed to star in Vince Uncensored, a Conan O’Brien-produced comedy pilot for CBS that could make it to air next fall, suggesting that his current role on No Ordinary Family is all but done. Although Deadline reports that Chiklis considers the pilot to be “in second position” to No Ordinary Family—which he also co-executive produces—the fact that he took another job suggests that he’s not entirely confident about the show’s chances of returning for another season, a feeling that was probably reinforced as Disney packed away its sets this week to make room for a Producers Guild conference. As for Vince Uncensored, the show would find him playing a man who “after a life-changing experience, decides to take a more honest approach to his life, work and family.” So sort of like Jim Carrey’s Liar Liar, maybe, but hopefully with more brutal beatdowns.
