Having already mined somewhat-uncomfortable laughs from Parkinson's disease on Curb Your Enthusiasm, Michael J. Fox is plotting to expand on that premise for a new TV comedy inspired by his life—a life that is definitely more interesting than Paul Reiser's "I am rich and bored" existence, anyway. Vulture reports (and The Hollywood Reporter confirms) that Fox and the awkward comedy dream team of Easy A director Will Gluck, and Arrested Development/Cougar Town writer Sam Laybourne are prepping the single-camera project as a starring vehicle for Fox, with Sony already enjoying what is described as a "feeding frenzy" bidding war to see which of the four networks will get the chance to air it. Given that he's has had relationships with all of them—Family Ties on NBC, Spin City on ABC, The Good Wife on CBS, and Rescue Me on FX—it's now all about who makes the best offer. (So, not NBC, probably.) Little else is known about the show at the moment, particularly whether Michael J. Fox will be playing himself or "himself," but on the off-chance it's the former, Tina Yothers has agreed to cameo only under any condition.
