Michael Jackson to release new album in November
Adding some credence to LaToya’s conspiratorial claims that Michael Jackson is worth more dead than alive, the late singer’s estate is gearing up for a deluge of Jackson-related releases—beginning with an all-new 10-song album due this November, according to Rolling Stone. Jackson’s manager Frank DiLeo told the magazine that Jackson had left behind more than 100 completed and unreleased songs at the time of his death, including outtakes from both Thriller and Bad that are “just sensational,” as well as more recent collaborations with Akon, Ne-Yo, and Will.I.am.
The forthcoming album is the first part of a 10-project deal that includes reissues of all Jackson's old records, new greatest-hits collections, a DVD collection of music videos, a rumored Cirque Du Soleil show, and the previously announced video game—all in all, a steady flood of Jacksonia that’s already netted his estate approximately $250 million. It will also keep Jackson on the charts for the next seven years, and undoubtedly make him one of the most successful posthumous artists of all time. Tupac better hurry up and record some new shit.
