Michael Phelps will guest star on Suits
Gabriel Macht’s Suits character Harvey Spector is a big-time Manhattan lawyer who loves showing off his corner office, his extensive record collection, and his many autographed pieces of sports memorabilia from famous clients. And now he'll come face to face with the one big-name athlete who got away—and who just happens to be the most-decorated Olympian in history—when Michael Phelps cameos during the concluding arc of the show’s third season.
Suits is one of Phelps’ favorite shows (along with Game Of Thrones and SportsCenter), making him just the latest in a string of Olympians who have appeared on their own personal, beloved series: Missy Franklin on Pretty Little Liars. McKayla Maroney on Hart Of Dixie, Gabby Douglas on The Vampire Diaries, etc. Phelps previously had a cameo on Entourage and hosted Saturday Night Live, but on Suits he’ll be slightly more tied into the plot, as Harvey and his longtime romantic rival Scottie (Abigail Spencer) vie to land Phelps as a client.
For a show that loves to mix witty banter with corporate drama, hopefully they can come up with something to rival Seth Meyers' "Weekend Update" bit on one of Phelps’ career controversies that probably required some legal assistance.
