Michael Sheen and Michelle Monaghan to star in Birdman-style “existential” drama

According to Variety, Michael Sheen and Michelle Monaghan are set to star in The Price Of Admission, a film described as “a unique story that’s part dramedy and part existential thriller” and is said to be “in the tradition of Being John Malkovich and Birdman.” Sheen will be a “middling playwright” suffering from a midlife crisis, and Monaghan will play his frustrated wife who is tired of being ignored. It’s unclear where the weirdo Birdman or Being John Malkovich-style magical realism twist will come in, but there pretty much has to be one if those are the two movies The Price Of Admission is being compared to.

The project comes from writer/director Peter Glanz, who previously wrote and directed that Jason Bateman-starring Longest Week from 2014.
