Michel Gondry's next film is about teenage runaways

French director Michel Gondry is known for the surreal filmmaking style he applied to cult classics like Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind and The Science Of Sleep. After his venture into mainstream filmmaking with 2011’s The Green Hornet resulted in less than favorable reviews, Gondry returned to the world of indie films, releasing the dreamy French romance Mood Indigo and the low-budget American drama The We And The I. And now IndieWire relays a few (very few) tidbits about his next project: Speaking to the Cine Chronicle at the end of March, Gondry revealed that his next film will center on two runaway teenagers, with filming expected to start this summer. And just last week, he told La Provence that casting is underway. It’s not much to go on, although it’s worth noting that The We And The I was also about a group of teenagers; it seems Gondry has found his current muse there.
