Mila Kunis and Adam Scott close to joining Seth MacFarlane's R-rated teddy bear comedy
Recent Golden Globe nominee Mila Kunis is reportedly in talks to play the female lead in Ted, the feature film debut by Family Guy creator (and Kunis co-star) Seth MacFarlane. As previously reported, the R-rated comedy centers around an average Boston guy—played by average Boston guy portrayer extraordinaire Mark Wahlberg—whose best friend is his CGI-rendered, MacFarlane-voiced childhood teddy bear, now fully grown into an amalgamation of all MacFarlane characters: boozy, irresponsible, carousing, and prone to cursing and making racist comments. Kunis would play Wahlberg’s beleaguered girlfriend who’s sick of Ted and who ends up seeking comfort in her smarmy boss, to be played by smarmy boss portrayer extraordinaire Adam Scott.
