Miller to film Hard Boiled
Comic-book-legend-turned-filmmaker Frank "Sin City" Miller has been busy with his upcoming adaptation of Will Eisner's The Spirit–but at the NY Comic Con earlier this week he told MTV about his new project: bringing his 1990 miniseries Hard Boiled to the big screen. Stunningly drawn by Geoff Darrow (seriously, if you've never seen it, check it out), the sci-fi thriller is practically a ready-to-shoot storyboard in its original form, and Miller plans on directing the film version himself; the adaptation has been sporadically in the works for years, with Nicolas Cage and director David Fincher previously attached to the project. As for The Spirit, it's due in theaters January 16, 2009:
