Mimi Rogers to hail the king on Ash Vs. Evil Dead

Though it’s not the first thing that comes to mind when you hear her name, Mimi Rogers has appeared in her fair share of iconic tales of the supernatural, both on TV and in film. And despite the fact that it was looking like the show had already cast all its leading ladies, it seems there’s room for one more on Bruce Campbell’s upcoming return to the land of the Deadites. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rogers has joined the roster of actors in Ash Vs. Evil Dead, Starz’s TV continuation of the Evil Dead series of films.

Rogers is set to play Suzy Maxwell, a “woman who is reunited with her family and several uninvited guests after a freak accident.” Suzy is also the mother of Kelly Maxwell, the series regular “wild child trying to outrun her past” with whom Ash will likely face some undead danger. And though it’s not in the description, let’s go ahead and assume the uninvited guests are Kendall and Kylie Jenner, because it’s obvious no one wants them around. The show is currently shooting in New Zealand and will debut sometime later in the year, assuming the Deadite plague hasn’t already wiped out all mankind by then. We’d say more, but that teaser trailer gave us nothing to work with. Hasta la vista, baby? Wait, wrong catchphrase.
