Mireille Enos recommits to her post-apocalyptic marriage in World War Z sequel
Proving that their onscreen marriage is as solid as ever, Mireille Enos and Brad Pitt are both confirmed to return for the World War Z sequel. Pitt is, of course, producing the follow-up to the 2013 film through his Plan B Entertainment, making him a shoo-in, but Enos has been tied up with catching up to Peter Krause on The Catch, so there was a possibility that she couldn’t be fake-married to Pitt and combat zombies or whatever will happen in the sequel (probably fighting zombies). But she recommitted to her fictional family in a recent interview with Digital Spy, though she said she has yet to read a script for the film.
Enos also told the publication about the scheduling issues with the production, which has been scrambling just as furiously as the film’s infected beings to hit its June 9, 2017 release date. In January, the sequel shed J.A. Bayona as its director, reportedly because Bayona needed some wiggle room to wrap up A Monster Calls (don’t worry, the studio wished him all the best). Pitt will probably enter into some kind of pre-production counseling with whomever eventually helms the project, where he’ll hold up Enos’ return to the franchise as an example of the kind of loyalty he’s looking for.
