Modest Mouse and Brand New announce co-headlining tour

Modest Mouse (one of the coolest bands for people who went to high school in the ’90s) is officially teaming up with Brand New (one of the coolest bands for people who went to high school in the ’00s) for a co-headlining tour of the United States. That means fans who remember both Bush presidencies will be packing concert halls alongside fans who mostly just remember the second one, and hopefully they’ll be able to put aside that difference in the name of enjoying some angsty rock music. Plus, everyone can bond over how much of a dreamboat Brand New’s Jesse Lacey is.

This comes from Pitchfork, which notes that there will be no opening acts and both Brand New and Modest Mouse will be “performing full headlining sets.” The two bands have some dates on their own before joining forces, and you can see the full schedule below.
