We still don’t know a lot about Castle Rock, Hulu’s new Stephen King show from J.J. Abrams, but at least we know one of the people who will be starring in it. According to Deadline, Moonlight’s André Holland has signed on to play the lead in the series, who will apparently be “a death row attorney with a unique and complicated history in Castle Rock, Maine.” The show sounds like it will be a greatest-hits of Stephen King mythology, as the eponymous town popping up in a lot of King’s books and short stories, but we still don’t know if it will literally feature storylines and characters from stuff like Cujo. Based on what little Hulu and Abrams will say about it, though, that does seem to be what they’re setting up.
Castle Rock will go into production at some point this year, so we’ll presumably have more details about what the show is actually about within the next few months.
