Moonrise Kingdom soundtrack as tasteful and impeccably curated as you'd expect
Moonrise Kingdom is set to enchant and enrage film-goers in select cities later this month with Wes Anderson's uniquely brilliant and bothersome mix of humor, quirk, style, and, Jesus Christ, can you believe all this overbearingly quirky style? Where you fall on the Anderson divide will likely carry over to the soundtrack, which comes out May 22 and includes music by Hank Williams, Leonard Bernstein, Francoise Hardy, and Alexandre Desplat, who scored Anderson's Fantastic Mr. Fox. You can check out the tracklist below. Study up, because even if you skip Moonrise Kingdom you'll likely be hearing these songs in commercials for the next year. [via Pitchfork]
