Moore prepping Fahrenheit 9/11 sequel
Celebrated/despised documentarian/manipulator Michael Moore is already at work on a follow-up to his acclaimed/reviled hit Fahrenheit 9/11 that will pick up where the first film left off, putting the final nail in the coffin of the Bush presidency with a look at the effects of the ongoing Iraq War on his plummeting approval rating and the nation's economy. Planned for a 2009 release, the as-yet-untitled sequel also finds Moore abandoning The Weinstein Company for Paramount Vantage, a move that Variety intimates is due to Moore's disappointment with the lackluster box office performance of Sicko; hopefully with the backing of a major studio like Paramount, Moore can now afford to add all the jive-talking CGI characters his massive heart desires.
