More Conan The Barbarian on the way

Thanks to a new seven-figure deal with Millennium Films, you may soon be hearing a lot more lamentations of the women: The rights to Robert E. Howard's Conan The Barbarian have been snapped up for a new series of pictures, taking the franchise property from Warner Brothers, where it had languished in development hell for seven years while various filmmakers from Robert Rodriguez to Larry and Andy Wachowski all took a crack at it. Millennium's project will reportedly start from scratch, and will hew more faithfully to Howard's original stories than the films that launched Arnold Schwarzenegger's career. No comment from Schwarzenegger's camp, of course, but considering Millennium is also behind the upcoming John Rambo, it's pretty clear they're cool with putting aging '80s action stars back in harm's way…
