The infernal series of Jason sequels may be getting exhausted, and who better to refresh the insanity than Michael Bay, director of such ridiculously outsized thrillers as Armageddon and Transformers? It's not clear whether Bay himself will direct this, but his production company is reviving the franchise. Appropriately, he's already hired the writers of 2003's Freddy Vs. Jason.
