That 2007 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie must've been more popular than expected. Yesterday Paramount and Nickelodeon announced that they'd paid $60 million for the rights to the TMNT franchise, and that they're planning another feature film and a new animated series, both set to bow in 2012. (As was predicted by the Mayans.)
The bummer part of The Wrap article about the deal linked to above? The Turtles are referred to as "based on a Japanese property." How soon they forget.
