More "Scrubs": TLC to release its first new album since 2002
TLC hasn't released an album since 2002's 3D, but according to the group's two living members, that's about to change. Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins announced at the Mobo Awards in Liverpool this weekend that they are currently planning the group's first full album since the death of Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, who was killed in a car crash shortly before 3D's release.
The duo also has a tour in the works, though they did not clarify whether it would include a hologram of Lopes a la Tupac as they announced in April. And of course, no comeback would be complete without a VH1 movie of the performers' lives, a project which is allegedly happening and for which Thomas and Watkins will serve as executive producers. It's unclear how faithful the film will be to the facts of the performers' lives, but considering that most biopics are only made after their subjects' deaths, probably not very. [via Rolling Stone]
