Morgan Spurlock’s new documentary Super Size Me 2: Holy Chicken, the sequel to his Academy Award-nominated 2004 feature, explores a fast food industry in transition. After anti-obesity advocates exposed the industry, restaurants we’re forced to respond to public and legislative pressure by changing their harmful practices. Spurlock explores this new status-quo in his new film by opening his own chicken restaurant. At the Toronto International Film Festival, where the film premiered, we spoke with Spurlock to discuss the film, and he gave us some insight into the horrible practices of the chicken industry.
