Morrissey announces a handful of new U.S. tour dates

Now that the furor over Morrissey’s importunate appearance at last month’s Riot Fest—in which he demanded that no meat be cooked or served during his performance—the singer/songwriter/would-be politician has decided to lay low and focus on playing some shows in Australia. Just kidding: the Pope Of Mope recently took the time to applaud the Brexit, as well as scoff at his lack of eligibility for the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. As he so persuasively/dismissively puts it, the Brexit was “magnificent,” and “[W]e have PJ Harvey as a Hall Of Fame nominee yet it can’t be argued that she has ever meant more than Morrissey in the USA.”

If such statements have only heightened your excitement at seeing him in concert again, you’re in luck, especially if you live in Texas. After he wraps things up down under, Morrissey is playing 10 shows in the U.S. There are four stops on the tour in Texas, while there are only three in the entirety of the Midwest, but Californians will all have to descend upon Irvine for their chance to see Morrissey live. The complete list of dates is below.
