Mos Def hijacks "Niggas In Paris" for "Niggas In Poorest"
Rapper Mos Def (who's actually going by Yasiin Bey these days) has unveiled the first song of his Top 40 Underdog series, where he'll be taking popular hits and giving them an ol' Mos Def (er, Yasiin Bey) redux. It's called "Niggas In Poorest," and if you can't tell from the hackneyed title, it's a take-off on one of the 2011's best singles, Jay-Z and Kanye West's "Niggas In Paris." It's a little bit rant-y, and pretty weird, and you can hear it here. [via Stereogum]
