In separate stories today from mania.com, two comics/ cartoon-related film projects have seen progress this week. With the runaway success of Transformers, Fox has given the green light to producer Mark Gordon's live-action, big-screen adaptation of Voltron. Meanwhile, producer Matthew Vaughn–most recently of Layer Cake and Stardust–has been chosen to direct a feature based on Marvel Comics' Thor, the tow-headed Norse god of thunder.
Too bad Layer Cake's Daniel Craig is kinda busy. If he were cast as Thor, at least the fanboys would have to stop whining about his hair color.
