MPAA slaps producer for ads

As if there weren't already enough "Dude! That protagonist is most likely fucked!" moments in horror-movie advertising, a recent campaign for the upcoming Captivity pictured actress Elisha Cuthbert in four distinct stages: "Abduction," "Confinement," "Torture," and finally "Termination." After getting a lot of complaints about the graphic nature of the ads, the Motion Picture Association of America came down on production company After Dark (source: Hollywood Reporter), which now has to clear all future ads for the film with MPAA, and will have to wait a little longer for the MPAA to rate the film. And maybe give the spoiler effect a while to wear off so that viewers will have at least some curiosity about what happens in the film?
