MTV bringing back practical joke show Punk'd, possibly pulling practical joke by naming Justin Bieber as host

Vulture reports that MTV is close to signing cornhusk cherub Justin Bieber to host a new version of celebrity prank-fest Punk’d, the Ashton Kutcher-created show that first taught Justin Timberlake to cry in the early to mid '00s. Kutcher is expected to remain on as the executive producer while Bieber takes over hosting duties, exploiting his deceptively angelic features as a means of devilish misdirection while he “punks” the famous—first as a participant, then as cackling emcee. The network is said to be bringing the show back from its three-year hiatus because there’s a whole new class of famous people aching for their elaborately constructed comeuppance.
