MTV reminds us it still cares about videos, issues 2014 VMA nominations
MTV announced its Video Music Awards nominees this morning, reminding people once again that musicians still make videos, even if you don’t always see them. Beyoncé leads the charge with eight nods, including one for Video Of The Year. Eminem and Iggy Azalea come in a close second with seven nods, while acts like Kanye West, Arcade Fire, Drake, The Black Keys, Sia, Lorde, Jack White, and Angel Haze fill in the rest.
Clips nominated for Video Of The Year include the aforementioned Beyoncé , who’s up with Jay Z for “Drunk In Love,” Iggy Azalea and Charlie XCX’s “Fancy,” Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball,” Pharrell Williams’ “Happy,” and Sia’s “Chandelier”—all of which you may or may not have seen.
