MTV’s Teen Wolf will end after season 6
After years of letting lycanthropic teens dominate its basketball courts, MTV has finally grabbed a silver bullet and taken aim at the monstrous heart of its Teen Wolf series. In other words, the network announced today at Comic-Con that it will be ending the show after its upcoming sixth season. That comes from Deadline, which also notes that the finale will be the show’s 100th episode.
Showrunner Jeff Davis said that Teen Wolf “has been an extraordinary journey, one that captured the hearts and imaginations of fans more than we could’ve ever imagined.” He also added that he’s “eternally grateful” for the support of the show’s fans, and he’s “excited” to take them on “one last, thrilling adventure.” MTV also released a trailer for the final season—which begins in November—and though it has more of a headless horseman-vibe than a werewolf-vibe, it certainly looks appropriately apocalyptic for the final season of a show like Teen Wolf.
