—From the New York Times courtesy of Idolator: Sonic Youth was among the bands investigated by the New York Police Department during the 2004 Republican National Convention because of its involvement in the Bands Against Bush concerts. The investigation found, unsurprisingly, that the band peaked in the late '80s.
