Music Tidbits: Blur, Morrissey, QOTSA, Black Eyed Peas, etc.
Here's a brief round-up of some music stories ranked in order of mildly interesting to barely newsworthy:
– Blur drummer Dave Rowntree confirms that the band will be reuniting for some studio sessions later this year. No word yet on whether Graham Coxon will return, but bass player Alex James did suggest that he was "keen." (That's British slang for "OK, but I'm not taking any of Damon's shit.")
– The new Queens Of The Stone Age album, Era Vulgaris won't be out until June 12, but you can hear a full stream right now at the band's website.
– Brian Eno is pitching in on the songwriting for a new batch of U2 songs.
– Morrissey has decided he'd like to be buried in Los Angeles' Hollywood Forever cemetery after visiting the grave of Joey Ramone. (Because let's face it, soon he will be dead.)
– Fergie on the Black Eyed Peas: "We're not going away."
