My Morning Jacket offer free downloads from new album and Terminal 5 shows
My Morning Jacket will release its sixth studio album, Circuital, this spring, and according to Rolling Stone the record “feels like the culmination of the sonic adventures the band began with 2005's Z—while also capturing the power and dynamics that have made MMJ one of the greatest live bands of their generation.” But who needs a stinkin’ rock writer to tell them what the record sounds like when MMJ is letting fans find out on their own via free weekly downloads that began today.
All you have to do is head over to the band’s website to sign up for the series of songs, which includes five tracks from each night of the band’s week-long stand at New York’s Terminal 5 last October. (The first download is for “Butch Cassidy” from 1999’s The Tennessee Fire.) The sixth download will be a studio track from Circuital.
