MySpace collected an anthology of short stories for the 20th anniversary of Wu-Tang Clan’s 36 Chambers 

MySpace still exists, and now it’s publishing microfiction anthologies to commemorate classic albums. In recognition of the 20th anniversary of Wu-Tang’s 1993 album Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), MySpace solicited short stories inspired by twelve tracks on the album from authors, journalists, and rappers. Spin's Chris Weingarten imagines a rather perturbed memo from the A&R rep mentioned in GZA’s verse on “Protect Ya Neck” to Loud Records chief Steve Rifkind, and Victor Vazquez (Kool A.D. from Das Racist) adapts “C.R.E.A.M” as a conversation between Method Man and Inspectah Deck at a fancy restaurant in the 1970s. But the best story comes from perhaps the unlikeliest source, actress Vanessa Baden (little sister Kyra from Kenan And Kel), who contributes a story of two Los Angeles girls attending college in Texas while still somewhat intertwined in gang activity at home. Broken Social Scene sponsored a similar project related to their album You Forgot It In People published by House Of Anansi earlier this year, but this one is freely available to read while listening along to the album.
