Earlier this year, we learned that the Science Channel was reanimating the corpse of MythBusters for a competition series that revolves around finding new hosts for a reboot. Now, Entertainment Weekly has released a trailer for this enterprise, which is called MythBusters: The Search. It features 10 people vying for the honor of being crowned the “next generation” of the franchise. To do so they are required to complete tasks like finding a literal needle in a haystack—”It’s going to be like finding a needle in a haystack,” one contestant profoundly remarks—and building an ejection seat. This new endeavor is hosted by Kyle Hill of Nerdist, and does not seem to involve Adam Savage nor Jamie Hyneman. It premieres January 17.
