Nana Grizol springs back to life with the peppy “T.V. Song”

It’s been a long time since Athens, Georgia has been a hotbed of indie rock, but that hasn’t stopped Nana Grizol. Though it’s been seven years since the band’s last full-length, the excellent and underrated Ruth, bandleader Theo Hilton hasn’t lost his spark. On March 31, the band will release a new record called Ursa Minor, and as the video for “T.V. Song” shows, Nana Grizol is just a fiery as it was a decade ago. The A.V. Club is premiering the video and song below, which sees Nana Grizol offering a bouncy song that recalls the likes of PWR BTTM or a low-budget version of The Weakerthans. The video follows suit, seeing the band play the role of anchors in a makeshift nightly newscast.

Nana Grizol’s new album Ursa Minor is out March 31 on Orange Twin Records.
