Naomi Campbell strikes again!
As "the most controversial photo shoot" in America's Next Top Model history recently demonstrated, supermodels have to overcome a lot of stereotypes, and just about all of them can be pinned on Naomi Campbell, whose reputation as a crazed, egotistical, drug-abusing, rampaging diva is the stuff of legend. And now the 36-year-old has added another line to her rap sheet: According to a report in London's Times newspaper, Campbell has once again been charged with assault, with the complaint coming this time from her drug counselor. Here's a rundown of Campbell's previous rampages:
—2000: Pled guilty to a 1998 assault on assistant Georgina Galanis, whom she beat with a hotel telephone and threatened to throw out a moving car.
—2005: Slapped assistant Amanda Brack, then beat her over the head with a Blackberry.
—2005: Punched Italian actress Yvonne Scio in the face, leaving her "covered in blood" in a Rome hotel
—2006: Two separate complaints were filed by Campbell staffers, one claiming she smashed her over the head with a jewel-encrusted cell phone and the other who claimed to get thrashed after she failed to find a pair of Stella McCartney jeans.
Campbell was released on bail yesterday, so Londoners are advised to stay in their homes until further notice.
