Add some dramatic music to clips from Napoleon Dynamite, and the resulting trailer seems like it’s for a totally different movie. YouTube user Ryan Shukis gives the comedy a serious tone in his new video below, expertly weaving a new “modern” Napoleon Dynamite trailer. As he says in a video explaining his process, the whole thing took him a week, a reasonable amount of time considering how he wanted to take the “fantastically dry comedy”and give it a dramatic trailer.
Even Uncle Rico seems a bit less unbearable in the remake, more harmless and misunderstood than a selfish idiot.
