Nas, Lauryn Hill, and Raekwon bringing the '90s back at Rock The Bells

The '90s nostalgia boon isn’t limited to just indie-rock and grunge warhorses. This year’s Rock The Bells festival reads like a hip-hop primer, with these artists doing these classic albums in full: Nas, Illmatic; Raekwon and Ghostface Killah, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx; GZA, Liquid Swords; Mobb Deep, The Infamous; Cypress Hill, Black Sunday; Mos Def And Talib Kweli,, …Are Black Star; Souls Of Michief, 93 Til Infinity; and Lauryn Hill, who will do The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill whenever she decides to show up, and you should just accept that. The bill is rounded out with sets from Erykah Badu, Mac Miller, Curren$y, Slaughterhouse, Immortal Technique, Masta Killa, Fashawn, and Donald Glover in his Childish Gambino guise, while this year will see the debut of the first-ever 36 Chambers Stage—an entire stage dedicated solely to hosting sets from members of the Wu-Tang Clan. (You know your membership is maybe getting out of hand when you need your own festival within a festival.) Go here for dates and tickets.
