Nashville’s RCA Studio A has been saved from demolition and potential condo conversion. The AMT Trust stepped in and bought the historic studio from developers at the last minute as part of its Americana Music Triangle project, which “seeks to promote music tourism and tie together the story of roots music as it emerged in Nashville, New Orleans, Memphis, and the surrounding areas.” The trust paid $5.6 million for the recording studio complex, meaning Bravo Development made a tidy $1.6 million on the $4.075 million it paid for the building three months ago. According to a press release, it looks like the AMT Trust might hope to flip the property as well, saying it’s looking for a “preservation-minded owner” to save the building now that it’s gotten the building into “safe harbor.”
