Natasha Leggero joins Andrew Dice Clay’s Showtime comedy

Everybody loves a good ‘80s throwback, which we assume is why Showtime decided to give comedian Andrew Dice Clay a TV show earlier this year. Titled Dice, the basic premise of the show is that Dice will play a fictionalized version of himself who is trying to rebuild his once-successful comedy career while juggling relationships with his family, ex-wife, ex-fiance, mother-in-law, and current girlfriend. Now, one of those supporting roles has been filled in: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Natasha Leggero (Another Period) will play Dice’s girlfriend in what is reportedly a “guest-star” role. That presumably means she won’t be popping up all the time, but that makes sense when there’s still an ex-wife, ex-fiance, mother-in-law, and other family members to worry about. The six-episode first season of Dice will premiere on Showtime at some point in 2016.
