Nathan For You wraps its season with a mission so epic, only a feature-length time slot can contain it
Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Thursday, November 9. All times are Eastern.
Top pick
Nathan For You (Comedy Central, 9 p.m.): In the fourth season of Nathan For You, Nathan Fielder has worn clothes filled with chili, waged war on Uber, and gone to extreme lengths to craft the perfect talk show anecdote. But tonight, he’s taking his biggest risk since that one time he came within seconds of being branded a sex offender by a robot arm: a two-hour season finale, “Finding Frances.” As teased by pre-season promotions, the quadruple episode finds Fielder reuniting with the Bill Gates impersonator who previously co-starred in the fraud-covering short film “The Web” and delivered a rousing address to a nearly empty Nathan For You party, in the hopes of finding the man’s long lost love. John Hugar is along for the ride, though he’s not quite sure how much of a ride Nathan and the show are about to take him on.
Regular coverage
Gotham (Fox, 8 p.m.)
Arrow (The CW, 9 p.m.)
Scandal (ABC, 9 p.m.)
The Orville (Fox, 9:01 p.m.)

Wild card
Grey’s Anatomy (ABC, 8 p.m.): The team at Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital celebrates its 300th episode in perfectly Grey’s Anatomy fashion: A roller-coaster accident has the doctors flashing back to moments from their past. Gwen Ihnat drops in for a review with hopes of a few returning cast members—and at least one acknowledgement of the fact that the logo for Shonda Rhimes’ production is itself a roller-coaster.
