NBC adds a few more episodes to its Will & Grace revival

Although filming hasn’t begun, NBC’s already showing plenty of confidence in its Will & Grace revival, adding two episodes to its original 10-entry order, Variety reports. That gives the reunited cast—Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Megan Mullally, and Sean Hayes—12 opportunities to indulge in some risqué banter and/or a midlife crisis or two. Creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan are on board for the revival, which will air on NBC at some point.

There’s no word on when production will get underway, or a launch date for the revival. Actually, there’s very little information about what will happen in what will technically be the show’s ninth season. When the series first ended back in 2006, the finale saw Will and Grace break up and then rekindle their relationship after their kids meet in college. They end up related by marriage, which is great and all, but it raises the question of just how the revival will work when, following the show’s own timeline, its main characters aren’t speaking to each other. But it looks like Mutchnick and Kohan will have plenty of time to get that sorted.
